My First Ever Portrait in Oils!

So… portraits are HARD! I have never painted a portrait before, let alone in oils. And frankly I don’t think I’d have the guts to attempt it for my second ever oil painting had it not been for these clear and reliable instructions and the ease of everything coming to me, neatly packaged in a beautiful ArtSkool Box! I’d also like to mention that I do have some experience drawing faces and so that also played a small part in here. As always, the supplies that come along are consistently of good quality, especially for a beginner like myself. Took me less than a minute to set everything up. Other than that I just followed their instructions, paused and played as I needed, observed her process and painted accordingly. It took me about 4 hours to paint this, but the time just kinda flew by. And now I have a BEAUTIFUL portrait of the amazing Frida Kahlo, hanging next to my first ever ArtSkool painting of the pomegranates! For anyone even remotely interested in painting and art, I honestly cannot recommend these ArtSkool boxes enough!
